My Favorite Website Builder

My Favorite Website Builder

At the end of this video you will know which tool you should use to design your website.

If you are thinking about starting a website you are easily overwhelmed with the huge offer out there.

You probably heard that around 30% of the web is based on WordPress, but does that mean they it is the best option for you.

And your favorite YouTuber has most probably a video which is Sponsored by Squarespace, so should you choose that?

Those are just some of the many questions you might have that we will answer in this video.

I’m going to share some personal insider tips I got from working with those platforms, that might surprise you.

Choosing a website for your business or project is a very important decision.

You surely want to make the right decision because if you need to change your website to another platform, it’s going to be a grueling task, believe me, I did that a couple of times it’s not fun.

So you wanna get it right from the beginning.

In this video, we will have different categories for the different projects you might need for a website.
The categories are:

For Fun
Your Own Small Business
Content Creator (Blog)
Web Designer

What we will not cover in this video are E-Commerce sites, that’s a whole other topic in itself.

The tools aka the website builders we are going to compare are:
Wix, WordPress with and without plugins like Elementor, Weebly, Webflow, Squarespace.
And I’m also going to share where I think it’s best to hire a programmer.

But don’t worry, most of these tools you don’t need programming knowledge at all.

As a side note we will not look at Joomla, Gator from Hostgator, Godaddy Editor, Google Sites and all the other builders that are out there, because in my opinion they should not even be considered for most use cases.

We are going to take a look at:
– WordPress
– WordPress with Site Builder Plugins
– Weebly
– Squarespace
– Wix
– Wix Corvid
– Wix Editor X
– Webflow
– Coding

Thank you for using my wix or squarespace referral links. It’s free to get started but if you purchase any packages I’ll make a commission which helps to support my YouTube channel. Your final pricing is still the lowest available but it helps to support my channel and I truly appreciate your support.

Synopsis: If you want the easiest method go with Squarespace, if you want to be able to customize your site go with Wix. If you’re willing to invest your time and resources WordPress is an option but will come with many more headaches down the line if you don’t stay on top of it.

Nice video. It would be good to see how the wix version compares to the squarespace version when viewed on both phones and computers. I’ve heard squarespace does a good job on all platforms – seems like everything is dumped into columns. If you have any info to share on the ecommerce costs (cheapest credit card processors for each) associated with the wix and squarespace that would be useful.
Thank you so much. This is super helpful. We all don’t wanna change a platform after building so much on one. So it’s better if we get as much info on platforms as possible in advance.

I loved the video. The only thing I don’t agree with is pricing. I’ve been using Wix for ease of use. I recently paid for a premium account with WordPress so I could explore its functionality. I pay $84/year with Wix. Upfront, WordPress was charging $96/year. However, that option only gave me access to “themes.”I thought themes were templates. Instead, they are instructions on how to build your page to look like the theme. It wasn’t that easy to follow. There are page builder plugins you could buy, but to be eligible for plugins I had to upgrade to a plan that was $300/year not to mention the additional cost for the plugin ($99), and whatever cost for the theme. I have all of these options with Wix without the extra charges. The only reason I was looking to upgrade is because of the customization. I’m not at the point where I feel like it’s worth paying $400 (possibly more depending on other plugins needed).
I completely disagree with the pricing being a tie. It’s always a pain in the ass to have a right hosting provider, and as a person who has an online shop developed on WordPress, there were many days that my hosting had issues that put me into trouble with my service which after a while forcing me to migrate to another hosting service and of course, pay more. After moving 3 times now, I have relatively better quality, but it didn’t worth the effort. Unlike that, the fact that Wix provides the hosting eases your mind on that matter so If you are new into this things and you don’t know much about hosting and how to move to a new provider and setting DNS, just go with Wix.

I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment . I always tell myself you don’t need that new Car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money invest : ng . For example last year I invested 70k in blue chip stocks and crypt0 s ( with the help of my advisor of course ) and made about 380k , but guess what ? I put it back and traded with her again and now I’m rounding up close to a million . Delayed gratification always pays off
This was super helpful. Unlike a lot of other videos that I watched yours seems like the best! Very informative for beginners. Personally I was afraid of getting into it but now I have a greater understanding of it and I am super excited to start.

Awesome explanation!! I’m binge-watching your videos. I’m new and WordPress was overwhelming. I have my site setup in WP but going to stage it in Webflow to learn. I think you hit the nail on the head with general maintenance and not needing all these 3rd party plugins and hoping they all integrate. Honestly, by the time you pay for a few basic extras in WP, it actually costs more than Webflow. Again great videos!! Keep up that good work!!

Everyone should have their own website. It’s something I’ve always stood by and in this video, I’ll be going over everything you need to know about setting up a website from why create a personal website to how to pick a platform & domain and, finally, what to do with it once you have it.

Absolutely fabulous. I struggled for weeks trying to make sense of written instructions and getting increasingly confused and frustrated. Even though I’m a 78-year-old geriatric, I found it easy to learn by watching, pausing, trying, repeating, backing up, re-watching, copying every move over and over until I got it right. Masterfully done! A big thanks.

I am a website developer/designer/coder; and I still love WordPress. I can only see these issues as relevant to people who want to maintain a website without expert experience. I would never go back to building a website 100% from scratch_ too many pages and too much coding. Drag and drop builders use more code than necessary and this causes slower performance. There is no other platform that has every thing you can imagine a website needs. So, yes, if you are not a professional developer and can’t afford to pay a professional, I can see why you want to look for something easy is your objective. As developers, learning is a part of our job. So, the learning curve is to be expected. I can’t stand looking at poorly coded websites and did not hear any issues that are real problems. I still stand by WordPress. It made our lives easier as web-developers, and there is nothing to compare to it.

Here are the stages you might go through in your path to becoming a professional digital marketer.

The first thing you’ll want to do is to create your own website or blog.

Creating your own website gives you your own testing grounds. It lets you get practical experience with marketing strategies without worrying about hurting someone else’s site.
